Some days feel heavier than others, and that’s just part of it. Here’s a simple guide for getting through a tough day. Just a “get through the next moment” approach, definitely not a perfect one.
Be present. Not perfect, but just for this day. Being present in the moment. Even if your mind feels like a mess, something as simple as giving yourself a second to gather your thoughts without trying to fix everything at once. You don’t always have to have things together. Just be present even if you are burnt out. It still counts even if you are just existing.
It is okay if the only thing you can do today is show up for yourself. That’s really all you can do sometimes. That doesn’t mean you’re behind.Make your day into something that is fulfilling and valuable to you.
The biggest win is making it through the day. Some days can be more exhausting than others and it can feel like you have to figure everything out in a short 24 hours. You do not have to figure it all out at once, especially not in one day. Things can wait. Time will pass whether you like it or not. Focus on today, not the future.
